Half Board Yacht Charter

All half board options are different from each other, so we request that you read the “what’s included and not included”  before you make your choice.

 Captain Only Yacht Charter

This is a private yacht charter with a captain and sometimes a mate. No chef is provided, so guests do the cooking and cleaning. Running expenses and all provisions are paid for by the guests. These yachts are usually owner operated vessels that are well cared for and can include many of the toys provided on the all inclusive crewed charters. In fact, many crewed charters offer a less costly captain only rate. This is a great option if you want to do your own cooking and eat at local restaurants. It can be a way to try the sailing lifestyle with a captain who knows the cruising area as well.

The captain drives the yacht and you may assist the captain in sailing while you pick up a few sailing techniques along the way. You cook for everyone and clean the galley as well as make your bed and clean the head. Whats the best part? Your cost is upto 75% of a fully crewed yacht.

You are responsible for covering the cost of all provisions including food, beverage and ice consumed on board (including the captain’s meals); running expenses incl. fuel for yacht, generator and tender, mooring fees, requested dockage, taxes, cruising taxes, National Park fees and custom clearance fees.

You and your group are the Crew on a Captain Only Charter. The captain has complete control and primarily is the guide, adviser and helmsman. This is a great way to enhance your boat handling skills and save a little money.

Unlike a bareboat charter, in which there is no captain or crew, Captain-Only yachts include water sports equipment i.e. snorkel, kayak, paddle-board, wake-boarding etc. Scuba is available on some boat charters with an additional charge.

The overall responsibility of the yacht remains with the captain. All captains are fully qualified, most are owner/operators of the yacht. They have made sailing a full time and permanent part of their lives.
